How are Ownership Documents and titles transferred for Florida residents?

For Florida residents AutoBidMaster does not process ownership documents and/or titles on vehicles purchased in Florida state, as per state law we provide the purchase documents to an in-state "Tag Agency". This agency will process the title, collect Florida state sales tax & title fee.

Pursuant to section 319.23(6) (a), Florida Statutes, a buyers title and Purchase Order will be sent to a registered "Tag Agency" in Florida. Once the title and Purchase Agreement reach the tag agency, the buyer will be contacted by the "Tag Agencies" support agents, who will help perform the transfer of the ownership for this vehicle.

What is a "Tag Agency"

A "Tag Agency" is a private business that is authorized by the state to provide services. Pursuant to section 319.23(6) (a), Florida Statutes, a vehicle ownership documents and buyers title and Purchase Order will be sent to a registered "Tag Agency" in Florida. Once your title and Bill of Sale reach the tag agency, they will contact the buyer to help perform the transfer of the ownership document for this vehicle.

You will need the following documents to transfer the title:

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Valid Credit Card

The "Tag Agency" will be expecting payment for the following:

  • Florida Sales Tax on the vehicle
  • Title Transfer Fees

After this process is completed, your title will be electronically generated, and you will be able to go to any DMV location within your county to register the vehicle. You will also receive an email with the "Tag Agency" contact details.
