A Night Cap Sale occurs when a vehicle does not sell during the Live Auction because it did not meet the minimum bid. The vehicle then enters a second-chance bidding period that continues until the next Night Cap Sale. Night Cap Sales function similarly to Live Auctions and remain open until the final high bid is placed.
There are four simultaneous Night Cap Sales, organized by region: Pacific (HI & AK), Mountain, Central, and Eastern.
Night Cap Sales are held Monday through Thursday at 5 PM (UTC+1).
