A VIX bid is placed on a vehicle that is still in the seller’s possession while the required paperwork is being obtained. These bids are submitted through a sealed auction, and the highest bidder is notified by email within 3 business days after the auction ends.
Once the high bidder is notified, payment is due by 6 PM the next business day. After payment is received, the seller has up to 45 days to secure the paperwork and finalize the sale. If the paperwork is obtained, the bidder will be notified by email to proceed. If they do not obtain the paperwork within the 45-day period, the bidder will be notified and fully refunded.
